The Houston Texans have a new quarterback and are 6-2. After a spectacular rookie season, 23-year-old CJ Stroud is having a solid sophomore season despite his favorite target, Nico Collins, missing the last three games with a hamstring injury. And he just lost Stefon Diggs, the team’s second-leading receiver, for the season to a torn ACL. With Collins sidelined for at least another week, look for Stroud to pass the ball to Tank Dell and Dalton Schultz tonight.
Meanwhile, the New York Jets have an aging quarterback and are 2-6. Aaron Rodgers will celebrate his 41st birthday in just over a month, and he looks nothing like the QB he was in Green Bay. With Rodgers at the helm, the Jets have failed to score more than 24 points in a game this season. They have lost five in a row and have already fired their coach during this losing streak. Expect an anxious crowd at the Meadowlands tonight as the Jets try to win their first game since mid-September.

Streaming TNF: Prime Video, Twitch and NFL Plus
Thursday Night Football games are broadcast nationally on Amazon Prime Video, giving NFL fans more incentive than free two-day shipping on sign up for an Amazon Prime accountwhich costs $15 per month or $139 per year. You can also subscribe only to Prime Video for $9 a month.
Fans in the local markets of each team playing Thursday night will be able to watch the game on an over-the-air station, while those who don’t pay for either of Amazon’s services can watch it for free on Prime Video’s Twitch channel. (Twitch is also owned by Amazon.)
If you subscribe to NFL Plus, the league’s streaming service for $7 a month (or $15 a month with Red Zone included), you can also stream the game without subscribing to Prime or Prime Video. Note that NFL Plus viewing is limited to viewing on a phone or tablet only, not a computer or television.
Thursday Night Football games are streamed live on Amazon Prime Video. For millions of Amazon Prime subscribers, the Prime Video channel is already included at no additional cost. Can I watch Thursday Night Football on local TV?
Yes, you can, if you live in the local market of one of the teams playing on Thursday. For this week, that’s Fox 26 (KRIV) in Houston and Fox 5 (WNYW) in New York, according to 506 Sports. There are two ways to watch local channels on your TV without cable or satellite TV. The first is with a live TV streaming service. And the second is with an aerial antenna, if you live in an area that has good reception.
